Best Bombshell Buys | Weekly Wishlist

1. Creme De La Mer Powder / 2. Saint Laurent Monogramme Suede Bag / 3. Christian Louboutin Debout Patent /
4. Tom Ford Lipstick in Flamingo / 5. Kate Spade Case for the Apple iPhone 5s

1. First up is the iconic Creme De La Mer Powder. I have been wanting to buy this for absolutely ages, but for some reason I haven't gotten around to buying it. To be honest, last week when I was in Harrods I was finally going to pick it up, but the sales lady really annoyed me. She kept following me everywhere, trying too hard to sell products (literally up and down the counter haha) - I don't know about you, but that completely puts me off. I know what I like and I do not need some over the top sales tactics. However, with that being said, shout out to the girl who works on the Chantecaille counter in Harrods! She was absolutely lovely and I ended up buying a lot, because she made my shopping experience so easy and pleasurable. Anyways, I will still buy the powder, but I think I will be making a cheeky online purchase instead.

2. Nothing says luxury quite like Yves Saint Laurent, or Saint Laurent as they now like to be called. I have to say I love YSL and all of the brands collections are to die for. This bag in particular stood out to me because of the beautiful smooth suede and the signature monogramme logo. Even though I usually opt for a large oversized handbag during the day, I like small shoulder bags and clutches for evenings out. Out of all of the items on my wishlist, this is definitely at the top. At £1240, its not cheap, but it is most certainly the ultimate high-end girly accessory.

3. Next I am loving the Debout Patent heels from Christian Louboutin. To be honest the picture really doesn't do these beauties justice. I personally think that they will be so beautiful paired with skinny denim jeans (either a light wash or white) and a bright top. They would also work really well with a little black dress for the evening too. You cannot go wrong with Louboutins in general, as they are a timeless classic and I really need to purchase these babies as soon as possible!

4. Number four brings me onto the luxurious Tom Ford Lipstick in Flamingo. I have been craving this shade all summer, as it is a deep pink (and you all know by now that I love a pink lippy). Whilst the Tom Ford prices are going up and up (they are now £37 each) they are worth the splurge. The gorgeously soft glide on textures, great pigmentation and lasting power, along with the sturdy packaging makes these gems a win-win for me.

5. Finally to round up my wishlist, I would like to buy a Kate Spade iPhone 5s Case. I am addicted to my phone, so I love to make it look cuter with pretty cases. I just bought a Marc Jacobs Bunny Case in Coral and a Moschino Agostino Panda Case and whilst these are both nice, I still need to own a Kate Spade cover. The striped ones are the best (in my opinion anyways), the only tough decisions now is picking between the off white and black and the pink and red. Leave me a comment letting me know your favourite.

Lastly, what is currently on your wishlist?

My Chat With Kimberley Bosso | Exclusive Interview

Hi everyone,
So I am back with another interview. I have had a rather crazy week last week, as I not only had to meet with attorneys regarding my business and trademarks, but it was also my birthday - so there was a lot to do. However, no Monday would be complete without a good old interview. Today's is with the beautiful and ever so talented Kimberley Bosso.

Kimberley has not only glammed up a whole heap of female Hollywood celebrities, but she has also 'done up' Justin Bieber and Zac Efron (fan girl moment right there haha). Not only that but she has also opened up her own make-up academy in none other than Beverly Hills and she also has her own make-up line titled Bosso. This bombshell has a lot of strings to her bow, which is why I thought she would be perfect to interview for my blog.

Enjoy ladies ;-)

At what age did your fascination with make-up begin?
I could try and be cliché and say my passion for make-up started when I was a little girl, but the truth of the matter is, it came years after I graduated from make-up school in my twenties. What I can say is that I have always had a passion for beauty and beautiful things and even finding the beauty in what maybe people wouldn’t consider pretty like graffiti in a NYC subway even when I was five. So it’s no wonder I ended up beautifying people for a living really.

Where did you train and what was it like?
I actually trained at a popular make-up school in Los Angeles. Because I was not happy with my training, I will refrain from naming the school but it is still around. I went everyday for a month and I was so unhappy when I graduated because I truly felt like I got lost in the shuffle due to so many students in my class. I think there was around 25 and I certainly paid way too much and got very little attention. I had to just get out of there with the basics and throw myself into lots of jobs and learn by the “trial and error” method really. I’m not saying it was entirely a bad make-up education - as the school did teach me all about lighting and make-up for photography, TV and film, but three looks in one month is hardly an education. I personally feel too much theory and not enough hands-on experience is not a good way to learn.

What has been the biggest highlight of your career so far?
The biggest highlight of my career hands-down has been creating my make-up line Bosso and having it go global so fast. I launched it in early 2014 and the products have been flying off of the shelves. My line is unique because it contains anti-aging ingredients, is cruelty-free, paraben-free and it is also dermatologist tested.

Describe the biggest perk of your job?
The biggest perk of being a make-up artist is the sky is the limit for happiness and success! There are so many entities of make-up artistry, that it is never ending. You can simply be an artist in any medium you choose, IE: news, TV, film, fashion, red carpet, celebrity, weddings, editorial etc. You can also venture off and start your own make-up line, write a beauty book, create instructional DVD’s, be a spokesperson for a major make-up brand, be a YouTube guru, make-up blogger, the list is literally endless.

Who has been your favourite celebrity to glam up and why?
This won’t be such a mainstream type of answer, but when I worked on the Janet Jackson Documentary, Janet’s brother Jackie Jackson was such a class act and a really kind man. I love working with people who are incredibly down-to-earth who happen to be famous. I mean this family is iconic, and yet so humble and nice - it was really refreshing. Of course, I love working on famous women's faces too, since it’s more intricate and creative.

You have done several of the Jersey Shore cast-mates make-up, how would you describe their go-to signature looks?

When working with the Jersey shore girls I’d describe their signature look as dark smokey eyes and bronzed skin. Some may describe it as tanned or orange, but when I worked with them (JWoww and Snooki) for both MTV Movie Award Shows I was sure to give them a more subtle bronzed look with glowing skin and soft smokey eyes - as I’m not into giving my clients the “orange” look. Sometimes some clients are so stuck in their own rut, that you have to push them a little to take some risks and try something more flattering. Although I put a beautiful nude gloss on Snooki, I later saw on the red carpet that she changed it to the “Jersey standard” bubble gum pink lipstick. You can only help someone so much haha.

If one of my followers only has 10 minutes to get ready, which steps do you think are crucial to looking groomed and gorgeous?
A fast 10 minute routine for a polished look are these essential steps: BB Cream (Bosso BB Cream is a 5 in 1 and contains anti-aging ingredients, primer, moisturiser, foundation and SPF). So a miracle cream like this is an easy way to get gorgeous and hydrated skin that’s fully protected from the nasty UV rays. Bosso Concealer is the second step (my clients rave about its creamy formula, that stays put and doesn’t sit inside fine lines and wrinkles). You just need to pat a little into the skin and it looks incredibly natural and flawless. The third step is filling in your brows with Bosso Duo Brow Powder. There are two shades in each compact to achieve the most natural groomed brow. The great thing is it’s water resistant so it stays put all day. The last thing is to add your favourite gloss to bring life to your face and then that's it, you're out the door! Every girl looks together and attractive with great looking skin and fabulous brows, so if you’re short on time, do not skip these two things.

Which are your favourite high street and high end beauty brands and what are your favourite products from them?
When it comes to make-up, I'm really not a snob when it comes to cost. If it works, it works - whether it's cheap or expensive. I've found products from Chanel that I am obsessed with and also some that I'm not so fond of. And the same goes for inexpensive brands like L'Oreal and such. With that said, my top favourite brands are: of course my own brand Bosso, because of the anti-aging ingredients formulated in them. Also the concealer and BB cream work so beautifully on the skin leaving a natural look but with ample coverage. Another top brand I adore is Chanel with their amazing D'ombre Cream Shimmer Shadows. Whoo! They are ridiculously sexy! They also came out with a sheer silky foundation that is great for people with already good skin that need a nice glow without texture. Bosso is currently working on a liquid foundation that is going to be similar. I also really love shadows from MAC and blushers from Inglot. Some drugstore brands I like are L'Oreal and Revlon. The L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara in particular is amazing. And I also remember using a foundation from Revlon years ago that I really liked and enjoyed.

If you could only have three items in your pro kit, what would they be and why?
Three items in my pro kit? Easy. Bosso Brow Powder for the perfect brows, Embryolisse 24 Hour Miracle Cream and my Bosso Concealer.

What are your top tips on mastering contouring and highlighting and are there any products you recommend for it?
Top tips for contouring would be to use cream foundation for the most natural and flawless coverage. Place a light layer of foundation over your entire face in a shade that matches you, then another foundation one or two shades lighter (depending on how much drama you want) only in the center points of your face - like the t-zone area and then between the hollows of your cheeks and jawline. For the shading, choose a product two shades darker than your natural skin tone and place on the hairline, hollows of your cheeks, along your jawline and down the sides of your nose. Then remember to blend the light foundation into the dark and the dark into the light - which will give an overall blended look. A product that works well for this technique is MAC Full Coverage Foundation.

Describe your personal day-to-day beauty routine and how do you vamp it up at night?
I'm a "Mompreneur" so my everyday routine has to be quick and not time consuming. I literally get my face done in ten minutes with these steps: I slap on my moisturiser (Embryolisse) and then two layers of BB Cream in the shade Medium. I then apply concealer under my eyes in a light shade and my own Bosso HD Tinted Powder to set them. Next up is the Chanel D'ombre Shadows in Fantasme or Vision, with a MAC Tan Eyeshadow in the transition area. I then pick a Bosso Brown liner and Brow Powder to compliment and flatter my eyes and a Black Mascara with my Clear Top Coat by Bosso, so that I get zero transfer under my eyes. For Blusher and Lip Gloss, I change it up and use a variety of brands - depending on what I crave that morning. And last but not least lashes! I have this application down to 20 seconds to apply on each eye.

What was the last product or tool you bought?
Honestly I can't remember the last product I bought. I get a lot of support from some amazing make-up lines who send me tons of products. And of course I have my own brand on hand all the time in the warehouse. If I can recall, Exuviance Performance Peel was probably the last product I purchased. It's an amazing 2 step minor peel that reveals an incredible glow after several uses.

Which products can you not leave the house without?
I definitely cannot leave the house without my favourite Concealer and Lip Gloss.

What do you think will be this years biggest beauty trend?
Make-up trends that you will see on the fall runways are lots of metallic and white liners and shadows. I just did a demo of a combination of both on one of my models in my 6 day intensive make-up course I hold in Beverly Hills each month. My make-up school commenced in 2008 and attracts students and aspiring make-up artists from around the world who have a passion for make-up and beauty and would like to get certified by a working with a celebrity make-up artist.

Lastly, whats next for Kimberley Bosso?
I will be taking Bosso make-up line across the globe. I just recently launched it in Hong Kong, so we're making a trip out there soon. Also there are several other domestic businesses that are interested in carrying us, so we're keeping busy with orders and expanding in the US as well.To finish this interview I would just like to say thank you once again to Kimberley. It was an absolute honour and pleasure to find out her top tips and favourite products. I will definitely be checking out her course in Beverly Hills when I am next in Los Angeles - so stay tuned for more info on that in the future! Kimberly definitely proves that you can have it all, by being a full-time mum, a celebrity make-up artist and also an entrepreneur. She is a brilliant role model for young women like myself and I think we should all take some of her go getting attitude and apply it to our daily lives!

Lip Product Addict TAG | Lippy Loving

Hi guys,
I am back today with a lippy loving tag to share with you all my most favourite pouty products! I firstly saw this tag being done on YouTube, but I thought it was about time to bring it onto the old blogosphere.

For this blog post I have just routed through my large lip product collection to pick out my absolute favourites! I hope you all enjoy...

Favourite balm/treatment?
I am going to cheat with this one, as I have three! My go-to day time lip balms are the Caudalie Conditioner Stick and also the Ultrasun SPF30 Lip Protection. Both of these products are brilliant for adding a quick boost of hydration to my lips. Whilst the Ultrasun is great on hot days to protect my lips from the sun. For my night-time treatment I use the Nuxe Reve de Miel, as it comforts and soothes, whilst the formulation is thick and highly nourishing. (I actually like the Nuxe balm so much that I have already bought a backup). Lastly, I have to quickly mention, that I do not use a balm or treatment everyday, as believe it or not, its really bad for your overall lip condition. Mainly because products create a barrier, which then slows down your bodies natural cell turnover, because your lips are no longer working for themselves.

Best eye-catching red?
I'm personally not a huge red lipstick wearer, as I find they do not suit me as well a bright hot pink. However, when I do venture over to my vamp side, I use the Giorgio Armani Rouge d'Armani Lipstick in 400. I can't lie, this is a very full-on red lip, which I only pair with minimal eye make-up. However, I find it really flatters my skin tone when I have used a little fake tan and it also works well with my blonde hair.

Best luxury and best drugstore?
Without a doubt it has to be the YSL Rouge Volupte Shine Lipsticks. My personal favourite is number 6 Pink in Devotion, as it is super hydrating and packs a punch with intensity - yet it still manages to look soft and pretty. I know you shouldn't judge products on the packaging, but they are the most beautiful bullets on the market. From the gorgeous gold tone to the super-secure closure. If however you are wanting a cheaper alternative, I would recommend the L'Oreal Rouge Caresse, as they both have creamy glide on textures and both brands offer a great shade range. My current favourite drugstore lip product is the L'Extraordinaire Liquid Lipstick by L'Oreal. I first went to hunt these down after I found out Kim Kardashian wore the Nude Ballet shade at her recent wedding to Kanye West. Even though I only own two of these beauties (101 Rose Melody and 201 Rose Symphony), I do intend on buying some more when my local Boots gets them back in-stock. I really enjoy everything from the small pear shaped applicator wands to the glossy formulas! I would highly recommend that everyone checks these out and gives at least one a try, as I promise you will fall in love!

Best MAC lipstick?
My all-time favourite MAC Lipstick has to be the shade Chatterbox (so much so that I have two backups in my collection). I absolutely love it, as for me it is a staple in my make-up bag and a shade I wear regularly (at least three times a week), as I find it super flattering and ultra long-lasting.

The most disappointing?
This is a hard one, but I would probably have to say Illamasqua Immodest Lipstick. I absolutely love the intense neon pink shade, as well as the staying power. But what I don't like is how it is pretty drying on the lips. Admittedly it is a matte shade, however I find it can show up any imperfections - which isn't such a hot look LOL. However despite that, I have been wearing this lippy a lot lately, as I find it a beautiful colour for the summer, I just always make sure I pair it with a lip balm first!

Liner - yes or no?
Ok so I have to admit that I am a big lip liner addict! I think that they can make the world of difference, as they not only make your lips appear fuller, but they can also help keep your lipstick in place all day! I know lip liners can be controversial, as obvious overdrawn lips are never a good look, but a subtle outline is a must and a necessity for me.

Best gloss?
I literally own way too many to mention! However, my favourite formulas are the Chanel Glossimers and also the MAC Dazzleglass Glosses (my favourite shade is Baby Sparks).

Something extra...
Finally, for my something extra I am going to include the Dior Addict Lip Glow. I absolutely love this stuff! I always carry it in my handbag for touch ups, when I either don't want to wear too much make-up, or for when my lips are feeling slightly dry. I will admit that this isn't the cheapest thing ever, but its a lovely little luxury to own!
Please leave a comment below telling me all of your favourite lip products and treatments...

My Chat With Mikey Phillips | Exclusive Interview

Hi to all of you lovely people,
I firstly just want to start off in saying I am so sorry for being missing in action for the past two months but I have been ridiculously busy with developing my business. There is so much work still to do, that it is pretty unbelievable LOL. However, I have just ordered myself a Canon 700D camera, so I will be able to take some fantastic photos for future blog posts (and who knows, maybe I will finally start a YouTube channel. I get a lot of emails asking me to, so maybe I should?! Let me know what you think).

Anyways, getting back on with today's post LOL! I recently interviewed marvelous make-up maestro Mikey Phillips, who is known in the industry for his glamorous transformations. As not only has Mikey dolled-up members of The Saturdays and Made in Chelsea, but he is also a regular beauty expert on the shopping channel QVC!

In this interview Mikey explains in-depth about his career and how he is a self-taught glam guru. He also then shares his favourite products, tips and the exact products he uses on some of the The Only Way is Essex ladies! So keep reading to find out more...
At what age did you get interested in make-up?
Make-up artistry is actually my second career, so it wasn't until I was around 24/25 that I first discovered my real passion for make-up. I started freelancing in store on make-up counters and that was an amazing learning curve, as working with normal everyday women is a real challenge. Women who have issues and need problem solving make-up really tests you as an artist. After working in some stores, I set my sights on becoming a freelance make-up artist full-time. I firstly started off by assisting and working with different photographers and really working my butt off for around three or so years! After you prove yourself, you then get to a point where people ask to work with you and then one thing leads to another and you get booked regularly.

Where did you train?
I'm actually a self taught make-up artist! I have done mini courses with Bobbi Brown and Make Up For Ever, but for the most part I have taught myself and learned along the way. I have always been very creative, so my ideas and inspirations come naturally. But I'm still always checking on YouTube too!

Describe your job in three words?
Ooh only three hehe... It would be exciting, rewarding and challenging (with a bit of glamour thrown in), oh that's four LOL!

What would you say sets you apart from other professionals in your sector?
I think its really important to have personality as an artist to help bring out the best in your clients, and I definitely have plenty of that! I also push the boundaries and when someone thinks something is a little too out there, I always get them to trust me and give them a little push and encouragement. Also I usually use inspiration from my daily life and travels and as soon as I see someones face I know exactly what I am going to do with it. This is a little secret, but I never prep or do face charts, as with me it just happens naturally.

If you could only have five products in your kit, what would they be and why?
Ahh it is so hard to narrow it down. But ok lets go with concealer. I think its actually more important than foundation, as you can highlight, erase and perfect your skin with one product. Next, cream blushers to use on the cheeks, lips and eyes, as they are simple and easy to use, but they look beautiful. They are also effective for adding dimension and freshness to a dull complexion. Then I would have to say mascara to open up the eyes and I normally use lashings of it and flood the waterline to give the look of liner. Next, bronzer to contour and shape the face and to double it up as an eyeshadow and crease colour and finally a brow pencil or powder. Brows frame the face making eyes look bigger and defining them helps give an overall polished look.

What is your favourite look to create?
I do love a glamorous look, but on the whole I like to make a woman look and feel her best and that usually involves pulling them out of their comfort zone! I adore enhancing skin-tones by making them appear glowy, glossy and flawless!

Are there any products that you simply can't work without?
There are so many haha! So I will give you my top five... I'm currently obsessed with my Bobbi Brown Pro Palette, as it has the most amazing shades of foundations, concealers and correctors. I mix them for pretty much every skin tone I work on. I also love Louise Young and Real Techniques Brushes and my ultimate brush is MAC's 217 - I literally have about 10 of that brush in my kit, as you can use it for everything. I then must have YSL Faux Cils Mascara, because its the best for sexy full lashes without any clumping. Then I always have the NEW CID Cosmetics Glow Powder in Sirocco, so I can use it on a clients face and body and also as an eyeshadow base (as the baked formulation is unbelievable on the skin). Lastly, I need bronzer! I really like Bobbi Brown, Smashbox and NARS, as I find they give the best results for contouring and adding a natural warmth, without looking orange.

You often work with Amy Childs and Gemma Collins, how would you describe their signature style and how can ladies recreate it at home?
I love working with both ladies! Amy loves a very contoured look, fresh and bronzed and of course glossy lips with a set of false lashes! Amy luckily has amazing skin, so I don't need to use too much foundation on her. However, I do use a little MAC Face and Body to even out her complexion. I then contour her face with MAC Select Cover-up Concealer in a shade one or two lighter than her natural skin-tone for under her eyes. Then I use two shades darker to contour under her cheekbones, nose and jawline and some around her forehead. To give her a glow, I use the Nars Orgasm Blusher on the apples of her cheeks and the iconic Tom Ford Highlighter on the tops of her cheekbones and brow bone. Her brows are then filled in with a Louise Young Eyeshadow in Auburn and set with Illamaqua Brow Gel. On her eyes I use MAC Pigment in Tan, with a Daniel Sandler Quad in Beyond Sunset. I then line her eyes with Illamasqua Gel Liner in Black, with two coats of YSL Faux Cils Mascara and I finish with a set of Amy Childs Lashes in Tease. Lastly, for lips I always use a lip liner to enhance her full pout, as Amy loves lip liners! MAC liner in Spice is always her request! I love the Clinique Chubby Sticks, especially the shade Curviest Caramel with a New CID Gloss in Blondie over the top.
Then Gemma loves a very girly look and she adores pink! Again Gemma has gorgeous skin, so I use the YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat Foundation and MAC Select Cover-up Concealer to contour and conceal as with Amy above. For blush I use Daniel Sandler Watercolour Fluid Blush in Acid on the apples of her cheeks, with New CID Highlighter in Sirocco on the tops of her cheeks and as an eyeshadow base. Then for brows I use NEW CID I Groom and for eyes Gemma loves liner, so I always reach for the Bobbi Brown Gel Liner in Black (we pop it inside the eyes on the waterline and also use it for a flick). To complete her eyes, I use MAC Sable Eyeshadow in the crease with two coats of YSL Baby Doll Mascara and a set of Salon System Lashes. For lips, I line with Bobbi Brown Baby Liner and NARS Funny Face Lipstick with NEW CID Tickled Pink over the top.

As well as the TOWIE girls, you also glam up AJ Odudu and Alison Hammond. So do you have any advice for dark skinned beauties?
I love working with darker skin tones! I love to pick out the natural highlight and contour shades within the complexion. My advice would be to make sure you have an amazing base. I would say Becca and Ilamasqua are amazing for darker skin tones, as they have a variety of shades. I would also say highlight your skin using a peach undertone to help shape and contour the face. Lastly, have fun with colour! Darker skin tones can take so much colour without it looking crazy, so experiment and bring out the inner diva in you!

Is there a particular product that you can recommend for touch ups throughout the day?
For touch ups throughout the day I love Model In A bottle, as it is amazing! Not only can it fix and lock your look in place, but it can also be used throughout the day to refresh and revive make-up! I love Daniel Sandler Invisible Blotting Powder to take away excess shine without looking cakey or dry, as its like putting a soft focus over your entire face. New CID Cosmetics Concealer is fantastic for touching up blemishes or for brightening around the eyes, because it has gorgeous coverage and reflects light and doesn't crease.

Can you share your favourite beauty tips?
I would say looking after your skin is key. I'm a big believer in benefiting your skin from the inside out, so using supplements such as Collagen Shots and Skinade are perfect for adding hydration and glow to your skin. I swear by Strivectin cleansers and moisturisers, as its a results based skincare brand, so you quickly see a massive difference in your skins texture and appearance. Make-up wise I use as many cream based products as possible, as it adds youth and freshness to anyone's complexion. For brows I would say get them threaded and tinted, as they are a crucial part to maintaining a fresh and groomed appearance.

Are there any celebrities that you still really want to work with?
Totally! I would love to work with Kylie or Angelina Jolie, as I class both of them as iconic, timeless beauties. Also I would love to glam up Angela Lansbury!

What are your secrets for creating a fuss-free glamorous look in a matter of minutes?
Stick with the make-up that suits and flatters you the most. Enhance and emphasise your best features, be that eyes or lips and always go bold and be brave!

Which make-up trend are you most looking forward to this year?
I'm a bit predictable, so it will always be a sultry smokey eye. A smokey eye to me is classic, sexy and looks amazing on absolutely everyone! I personally love to experiment with different colours and glitters and it has to be finished with loads of liner and a great set of false lashes.

Lastly, whats next for Mikey Phillips?
Well there are many things in the pipeline with magazines and TV work, so definitely watch this space! I still feel like I'm only just getting started and there is still so much to do and achieve!

I just want to end this post in saying a huge thank you to Mikey for conducting this interview with me. As not only did Mikey share fab tips, but also invaluable knowledge. I know for sure that I will definitely be trying a load of new products Mikey recommended (even though I've spent a lot lately - I am trying to go on a beauty spending ban. But it looks like it won't last long after this haha).

To keep up-to-date with Mikey and to see all of the wonderful glamorous looks he creates on models and celebrities, follow him on Twitter and Instagram @MakeupByMikey

Lastly girls, please let me know all of your favourite products for contouring and highlighting? I am personally a huge fan of powder products, as they are quick and easy to use everyday. However, for a special occasion or event, I like to use the Laura Mercier Bonne Mine Trio first and then I set it with Hoola Bronzer by Benefit and Soft and Gentle Highlighter by MAC.

I hope you are all doing well and enjoying Summer so far! xoxo
