My Chat With Caggie Dunlop | Exclusive Interview

I'm back once again with another interesting interview. This time I have been questioning the ever so fabulous Caggie Dunlop.

Caggie burst onto our screens back in 2011 when she starred in Made in Chelsea. Since then, she has not only gone onto releasing music and a fashion brand, but also a pop up shop. Now she spends her time planning and focusing on her acting career, whilst preparing to temporarily move stateside.

Carry on reading to keep up-to-date with all things Caggie...

At what age did you know you wanted to be in the entertainment industry?
I have always wanted to be an actress from a very young age, in fact that is why I went to the Lee Strasberg Acting School in New York.

You are known for your enviable lifestyle, so can you describe your typical day in three words?
I wouldn't really say its that enviable! Made In Chelsea definitely displayed a more glamorous version of different situations. But I am very lucky that I am able to do so many things. Either I will be in the studio or in the office or at a shoot or like last week I was at a school. Things are constantly changing for me, which helps keeps things exciting.

How did you find being a main character on the popular reality series Made in Chelsea and would you ever go back?
It was great, but it was very intense. I still keep up with those who I was close to on there, and I would never say never. But I do have lots of different things that I am currently focusing on at the moment.

Have you kept in touch with any of your former cast mates?
Yes. I actually try and see them whenever I can. But understandably the ones who are still in the show are quite consumed with all of that.

You are also very creative and interested in music. Will you be releasing an album any time soon?
Well I was going to, but things have changed recently for me, as I have become more involved in the acting scene again - which is great and where my real passion has always lay. However, I love music and writing, but I don't know whether life on the road is one for me. But I guess we will see what eventually happens.

If you could duet with any singer (dead or alive) who would it be?
It would definitely have to be either Matt Corby or Macklemore.

You recently set up your own brand ISWAI: It Starts With An Idea, what made you go into fashion and has it always been your dream to design?
Well I have always loved fashion and it is such a fun thing for me to be apart of. I am very interested in all things creative, so it really is a dream come true. Whats even better is being able to watch it grow from strength to strength.

Where did you get the idea to showcase new talent and was it hard narrowing down your applications?
Yes it was at the beginning, but now we know exactly what we are looking for, so it makes life a lot easier. The idea just came to me as I thought it would be nice to give people an opportunity to showcase their designs, rather than claiming to be a big designer myself.

What is your favourite item from your collection and why?
I love the Paris top we do, as it is very me and also unique. But we also have some more lovely things coming in soon.

Talking of clothes, if we were to take a peek inside your wardrobe, what would we find?
A lot of denim. Literally a lot! And also a fair bit of chiffon clothing and pastels. And I have a huge number of Aussie designers in there too.

How would you describe your personal style?
It would probably have to be disheveled chic.

What was your most recent high-end splurge?
I actually don't tend to spend a lot of money on clothes. In general I am more into second hand clothing and High Street shops. But I did once buy a jumper for 350 dollars from Acne. For what it was, that was probably my biggest ever splurge.

Do you have a beauty routine you stick to everyday?
Not really. But the best beauty routine starts from the inside out, such as drinking green juice and water and also doing lots of exercise. I always find you then don't need to worry about the external stuff as much.

What are your favourite beauty tips?
I swear by the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream, drinking lots of water, getting plenty of sleep and also regularly using coconut oil.

Lastly, whats next for Caggie Dunlop?

I am currently planning on spending some time in Los Angeles over the next few months, so that I can focus more on acting again. So really, just watch this space!

A big thank you once again to Caggie for taking the time out of her busy schedule to conduct this interview with me. It was really nice getting to know the girl behind the famous reality show and also finding out some of her latest career ventures!
