My New Years Resolutions

Hi lovelies! Today I'm going to discuss with you my New Years Resolutions. I debated whether to post this or not, as I like to set myself goals all year round - rather than just in January. However, a new year is meant to be a fresh start and a new beginning, so I am going to share with you my resolutions, which will hopefully help me be the best version of myself.

Below is my list of life, beauty and fashion changes I would like to make this year...

1. Launch my first business
This is definitely one of my top priorities for 2014, as I have been working on this project for over a year now. Like anything I do, I never rush into things. I want my business to be the best that it can be and that is why I have taken my time and researched all of the ins and outs of the industry that I am going into. It has been such a fun and exciting time for me career wise and I cant wait to share it with you all.

2. Continue learning, experiment and take more risks
As I have mentioned in a previous post, I love learning. I believe that there is so much out there to explore and find out about, that each day you should learn at least one new thing (be that big or small). I would like to expand my knowledge on a whole heap of subjects and I also want to take more risks when it comes to experimenting with my ideas, plans and also fashion choices.

3. Worry less, smile more
I worry about everything, far too much. I worry about problems that haven't even happened yet, but I have to admit I do like to call that 'careful planning' haha (which I think we are all a little guilty of). That is why this year I have set my goal to worry less and smile more. Even though inside my brain might be doing overtime, I am going to promise myself to chill out and let things naturally happen instead.

4. Go on a beauty spending ban
I am the worlds biggest beauty junkie! So much so that I actually had to convert a spare bedroom into a beauty room. You might be thinking I'm crazy and you would be right, but I'm sure secretly deep-down you love hoarding make-up too (well I hope you do anyways, as it makes my obsession not so bad haha). But seriously, I want to stop buying more products as I have enough to beautify a small country. Out of all of my New Years Resolutions this is going to be the hardest, as I love trialling new products, but I am going to try my best - or at least cut down.

5. Stop saving things for best
I am literally the worst person for doing this! I'm not sure if any of you out there do this too, but I always keep my expensive designer items for special occasions, rather than wearing and using them everyday. I do have some exceptions with my purses and bags etc, but with high-end clothing, jewellery and accessories I always save them for best, as I don't want to ruin them (ridiculous I know) as I'm not getting to properly enjoy them. So this year I want to stop being protective over my possessions and just use the wonderful and beautiful things I own.

Anyways that's enough of me for now. I just want to wish you all a Happy New Year and I hope each and every one of you has had a great 2013 and if not, don't worry just make 2014 your year!
Lastly girls, what are all of your New Years Resolutions?

  1. Great resolutions! This year I want to get a new job, get fitter, hopefully have an exotic holiday Vietnam is top of my list. Finally I want to do soemthing that scares the crap out of me either a bungee jump or a sky dive and conquer my silly fear of heights x

    1. Thanks Laura!
You have set yourself fantastic New Years Resolutions too!
I think its great that you are wanting to take risks and step outside of your comfort zone! However, you are definitely braver than me - I wouldn't be able to do anything like that, I would be far too scared LOL xoxo
