Hi beauties,
I am back today with a Beauty With Benefits posts highlighting different good-for-you products that I highly recommend. I have purposefully chosen one product from different brands in order to show you a variety of beauty items. As applying a full face of make-up is a morning ritual for most women (myself included), it can become laborious and tiresome. So now with thanks to modern technology and innovations, beauty products can now work as hard as you do!

Each one of these gems manages to beautify in multiple ways, which will not only save you time and storage space, but also your hard earned money. Ladies, its time to use kickass products, that are not only amazing in pigmentation and quality, but are more importantly good for your skin and working for you.

1. Decleor Hydra Floral BB Cream
This do it all product not only contains Decleor's iconic 24-hour protective moisturiser, but it also contains an illuminating foundation mixed together. Boasting five benefits in one tube, this BB Cream is not to be missed. Either apply it with your fingers for an allover luminous look, or with a flat foundation brush for the appearance of airbrushed skin.

2. bareMinerals Correcting Concealer
This creamy concealer combines SPF 20 with buildable long-lasting coverage. However, as the title of this post suggests, this is more than just a concealer, as the lemon peel extract included works to decrease the appearance of dark spots and discolouration over time. Its now time for you to conceal and reveal brighter more radiant looking skin!

3. Liz Earle Signature Eye Colour
All of the Liz Earle products are known for their botanical extracts and amazing results and this eyeshadow doesn't disappoint. Enriched with natural source Vitamin E, this eye colour will work to nourish your lids, whilst the lightweight formula has a skin affinity that adds the right amount of colour, whilst giving you an even finish that lasts.

4. Perricone MD No Blush Blush
The No Blush Blush is a revolutionary cheek serum that contains a mineral SPF 30, whilst also containing scientifically formulated DMAE to help give you a "facelift in a bottle". Available in a universally flattering rosy glow, this self-adjusting shade stimulates the flush of youth. This product is great for those wanting prominent cheeks without the need of injections or going under the knife.

5. Urban Decay Lush Lash Mascara
You can now nourish, thicken and lengthen your lashes from the inside out. This multi-purpose innovative mascara is infused with peptides that work on your lash growth cycle. This mascara will give you instant smudge-proof va va voom lashes, but with the added benefit of knowing your eyelashes are being conditioned, whilst the formula is making them more beautiful naturally.

6. Josie Maran Lip Treatment
This lip treatment really is a genie in a bottle, as the formula works to condition, hydrate and protect, whilst adding a subtle hint of colour. Not only is this beauty formulated without nasty chemicals, but it's also packed full of Vitamin E Argan Oil to help replenish dry chapped lips. This all purpose lip conditioner will have your lips looking perfectly pouty in no time.

7. Tarte Amazonian Clay Finishing Powder
Tarte are known in the industry for using Amazonian Clay in their products to help balance and hydrate skin, whilst it works on boosting clarity, radiance and texture at the same time. This translucent, silky finishing powder sets make-up, diffuses imperfections and also removes excess surface oil to leave you looking flawless. Tarte even advise their customers that this product can be worn alone as an all over treatment.

8. Vichy Dermablend Foundation
The cult favourite Vichy Dermablend offers twice the coverage of a traditional foundation yet it still has a natural lightweight finish. The product contains Thermal Spa Water to help soothe irritated skin whilst keeping it moisturised, soft and supple all day long. This camouflaging foundation is great for anyone wanting to hide uneven skin tone, dark circles, redness and scarring.

Lastly, why use make-up that doesn't give you more? As you deserve to look effortlessly fierce, whilst knowing your products are working hard to make you look every inch the perfect princess you are! These eight products will benefit your skin whilst making you look like a glam goddess!

Please let me know your favourite multi-purpose products and also if you will be trying any of the items mentioned above!

My Chat With Emma Hardie | Exclusive Interview

Hi lovelies
Today I am back with a special interview with the amazing Emma Hardie. I know I have been missing in action over the last couple of months, but I honestly cannot stress how busy I have been. From tradeshows to meetings, it has been manic, but I am back and I cant wait to share with you all some fab interviews I have lined up, as well as my Christmas Gift Guides (UK and US editions) - so stay tuned for that.

Anyways, getting back with todays post. I had the pleasure of interviewing legendary skincare expert Emma Hardie about her range and also her insider tips and tricks and I have to say its great. Emma not only shares her preferred techniques to combat ageing, but also her tried and tested favourite beauty products.

Keep reading to find out the latest ins and outs of skincare...

How did you get into the beauty industry?
Having endured a debilitating 12 year illness, I researched and learnt how to heal my body as well as how to tone my then sallow, hollow face. I was so empowered and excited by the results I achieved, as I had managed to boost my immune system and balance organ health and also give myself a natural face lift! With such astonishing results I decided to retrain in health and beauty, study the science of cell and tissue healing - so I could help educate others in beauty and wellbeing on a powerful, and natural level.

If you had to describe your day-to-day work in three words, what would they be?
Exhilarating, passion and love.

What is the biggest perk and thrill you get from your job?
Being able to increase confidence in people who have real skin issues, and being able to help people to not fear ageing skin through the incredible positive results they achieve by embracing my skincare system and methods of application.

What advice would you give to aspiring entrepreneurs wanting to achieve a successful career like yours?
Tip 1: To be absolutely sure that your chosen career comes from your heart, and to believe in it 100%, it really has to be part of the fabric of you - only this way will you keep going when things get tough.
Tip 2: Your chosen project should be done for the love of it and not just for the money.
Tip 3: Keep your ideas simple, and stay focussed never stray from your initial idea.
Tip 4: Allow your business to grow organically; don't try to rush the process.
Tip 5: Be patient.
Tip 6: Never give up! If you feel like things aren't going your way your heart will find a way through if you are dedicated enough and passionate enough about your idea.
Tip 7: Enjoy and savour every moment!
Tip 8: Be vigilant; the devil is in the detail.

Since starting your own brand, what is the most important skincare lesson you have learned so far?
There are two big lessons I have learned: Firstly, stress and holding tension in your face and body is one of the fastest ways to unbalance the skin and organ health. When you are stressed the tension held in the fabric of the muscles constricts and blocks the flow of cell healing and regenerating signals from the brain to the cells and from cell to cell causing imbalance in cell function and skin health. So learn to meditate or practice 'mindfulness' on a daily basis. Secondly, always work in 'lines not circles' on your face. It's vital to work with the 'grain' of the skin, which is similar to the 'weave and weft' of fabric, think of a muscle fibre or collagen fibre, these are all linear structures that give your face its shape and tone. If you work in lines then you will automatically encourage the natural drainage and toning and smoothing of your face.

Can you tell my readers the importance of facial massaging and what are your top tips for doing it at home?
Daily facial massage, even if you only do it when applying or removing your products is essential for a healthy toned and vibrant skin. When cleansing its important to use a water soluble oil cleansing balm, for example our Moringa Balm, as its light emollient texture allows for a longer deeper massage before removal. Then always remove your cleanser with a microfibre cloth, and remove in a crossed hatch linear fashion. Simply support the skin with one hand in an upwards direction and remove the balm in a crossed hatched fashion with your damp cloth in a downwards motion. The microfibre cloth stimulates the skin as if you were massaging it as well as deep pore cleansing. When applying your face cream always massage into the skin in a cross hatch linea fashion to help stimulate the toning and brightening of your face.

What would you say are the top hero products from your range?
My Moringa Balm and Age Support Treatment Cream, Radiance Mask and our Age Support Eye Cream.

Apart from products from your own line, what are your other beauty staples?
It has to be Coconut Oil, Kevyn Aucoin Celestial Bronzer, Revitalash Advanced Eyelash Conditioner and all of the By Terry lipsticks.

I think of you as the cleansing queen, so tell us about the inspiration behind your iconic multi-award winning Moringa Balm?
Our Moringa Balm was the first product I created. My goal to myself was to create 'one product' for busy women that smelt addictively delicious, felt amazing to touch, felt even more amazing when applied to the skin and would simply and with no effort melt away any traces of make-up, dirt and pollution - whilst leaving the skin hydrated, super-soft, plump and bright, basically to replicate the benefits of having a facial. Moringa Extract and its oil are one of the most potent skin protecting, rejuvenating anti pollutant and cleansing ingredients available, as its rich in proteins, minerals and vitamins.

Describe your perfect pamper essentials?
My Moringa Balm, Radiance Mask, lots of candles, essential oils and a lovely warm bath. I like to keep things simple. Oh yes and a really plumped up duvet is a must!

If any of my readers are worried about ageing, what is the best piece of advice you can give them?
I am a realist, and my first word of advice is to literally 'stop worrying' as the actual act of worrying will make you look and feel worse. You have to accept that you will age to some degree, but it can be minimised. I have dedicated my life to helping people with the effects of their ageing skin, naturally, safely, at no expense and with amazing results. My unique techniques and bio mimetic products allow my clients to feel happy and relaxed about their skin and remove the stresses and fears of ageing.

What is your all-time favourite beauty tip and why?
Massage your skin with your chosen product and buff it in with a microfibre cloth (in 'lines not circles'), as it will revolutionise your skin and facial contours. For more of my tips and to see my videos on it, check my website.

If one of my readers only has 10 minutes to get ready, which steps must a woman never leave the house without doing?
Cleanse and buff skin with a microfibre cloth, apply moisturiser and again lightly dust over with a dry microfiber cloth, as this will refine the skin even more and allow your make-up to sit well and glow, it will also give you that 'no make-up made up look', which is my personal favourite.

What can we expect from your skincare line next year?
Ooo, you will have to wait and see. But I do have the most amazing facial oil about to hit the stores soon!

Lastly, what’s next for Emma Hardie?
Well, what can I say… you will just have to watch this space! 2015 will be great!

I would just like to say a huge thank you to Emma Hardie and her wonderful team. It has been an absolute honour to interview Emma, as I am a huge fan of hers and its been wonderful to share her knowledge with you guys. I absolutely love all of the tips Emma has shared, especially her advice to budding entrepreneurs. I know with starting my company that its a lot of work, so its great to find out her thoughts on it.

If you haven't already be sure to check out the Emma Hardie Skincare range, as I honestly couldn't recommend it highly enough. Its available at Space NK, Feel Unique and QVC and also at

Lastly, let me know what you love from Emma's skincare line? I personally adore her Moringa Balm, as it gently cleanses my skin, whilst nourishing it!

The Autumn TAG

Hi lovelies,
I am back today with a short post about autumn, which I have to say is my favourite time of the year. What with the beautiful crisp leaves and the cold but sunny days, autumn is a fun transitioning season that doesn't fail to disappoint.

Keep reading my autumn tag to find out my top fall picks...

Ok we're talking coffees - what is your favourite seasonal drink from Starbucks, Costa or Cafe Nero etc?
I'm sure this one will be controversial, but I do not drink any hot drinks - that includes tea, coffee and hot chocolate etc. I have never been a fan of them, so I don't really go into coffee shops a lot, even for soft drinks. However, if I do venture into Starbucks I love the Caramel Cream Frappuccino, which is basically milk blended with caramel sauce and ice and then topped with whipped cream. Its super healthy, not haha.

Next up is accessories - what do you opt for, scarfs, boots or gloves?
I love scarfs, boots and gloves. I have to admit that I do not wear booties as much as I would like to, but I do love them. And I am a big gloves hoarder. Honestly, during the colder months you will find two to three pairs in my handbag at any one given time.

Then onto music - what is your favourite songs to listen to during autumn?
My music preference does not really change depending on the season, as I tend to just stick with my usual musical tastes - which can range from pop to hip hop and everything in-between.

What is your favourite perfume during this time of the year?
I own so many perfumes (probably over 30 now) that I do not have a favourite scent. I like to mix and match my perfumes depending on my mood that day. I also like to custom blend my perfumes, by combining two to make my own unique creation haha. If I had to pick one that I am wearing the most currently, it would have to be Stella by Stella McCartney. It is not autumn scented at all, as the main notes are rose and amber, however it makes a great fragrance all year round.

Which candles will you be burning this season?
I know its not Christmas yet, but I have been burning a few of my favourite cosy winter scents by Yankee Candle. My main loves are the Christmas Cookie and Merry Marshmallow. I actually bought so many last year that I still have some left over and this week I have begun burning them again, as during the summer I only like to burn fresh and floral scents.

What do you love most about autumn?
I love the weather. The chilly yet sunny days make the perfect setting for a long walk or for enjoying a day out in the countryside. I also love staying in and watching TV, whilst being all snugly and warm haha. Autumn is a great time to chill out and relax and just generally reflect on the year so far.

Favourite make-up look?
I like dark make-up during fall, as I feel you can carry a more dramatic look through the colder months. Whereas during the summer I prefer less make-up and a more dewy natural look. Currently though I have been loving soft smokey eyes with a plum or berry lip and lots of contouring and highlighting to compliment it.

What are you looking forward to most this year?
Fashion wise it has to be accessorising my outfits with scarfs. My favourites are by Alexander McQueen and Diane Von Furstenberg, I have a lot, but I love them all because they literally go with anything. I do not mind investing in pieces that will always be timeless and classic, yet still look effortlessly chic now. I also bought a beautiful black devore scarf from River Island in January that I still haven't worn yet - so that little baby needs to be worn this year. And then in regards to my life and career, I have a lot of trade shows to attend and getting things sorted and finalised for my business which launches next year. So there will be lots of busy, crazy times ahead.

Lastly ladies, what is your favourite thing about autumn?

Leave a comment below if you've done this tag or if you're going to do it, as I would love to read your answers!

The Ultimate Fake Tan Guide | Be Beautifully Bronzed

I know the title of this post might be filling you with dread, as once upon a time a DIY tanning treatment at home would yield some unwanted side effects, such as orange skin, unwanted streaks, stained bedding and a weird biscuit smell. But let me tell you that doesn't have to be the case.

Fake tan formulas have now become far more sophisticated in every aspect, from guide colours to lasting-power. Simply read my tips below to reveal your inner bronzed goddess!

Firstly a run down on the different textures and the pros and cons to each...
  • Wash-off: A liquid bronzer which can often contain shimmer.
Pros - If you mess up, you can simply wash it off and start again. You can also have instant gratification with the quick results.
Cons - They are not long-lasting and the colour can transfer onto your clothes and bedding.
  • Gradual: A clear moisturiser with a built in tanning solution for a subtle tan.
Pros - They are not only virtually foolproof, but they also nourish and condition your skin at the same time, which is a great multitasking product.
Cons - Gradual tans take several applications to show a good depth of colour, which takes time, dedication and consistency.
  • Mousse: A clear or coloured solution that will quickly sink into your skin.
Pros - They are not only quick and easy to apply, but they usually contain a guide colour, which helps you create a flawless finish.
Cons - Mousse tanners tend to develop lighter than lotions, so at least two applications are recommended. However worst of all, mousse formulas can strip dry damaged skin.
  • Spray: A fake tan in a spray can/bottle. Simply direct the nozzle to the areas you want to bronze.
Pros - You don't get orange hands (hooray) and they are economical, as a little goes a long way.
Cons - It can be tricky to get even results and is most suited to experienced tanners.
  • Lotion: A dark liquid that will hydrate and nourish your skin, whilst leaving an intense colour.
Pros - Lotions not only offer the darkest finish, but they are also quick and easy and usually give streak-free results.
Cons - It can be messy if not applied correctly. They usually work best when applied with a mitt or gloves.
Next onto the good stuff, the application!

Firstly, preparation is key! 24 hours prior to application, begin by shaving or waxing the desired areas. Once complete, gently exfoliate your body to remove any dead skin cells (because if you don't, you will be guaranteed a streaky uneven tan). Try and pay particular attention to any dry spots, such as elbows, knees and feet, as these areas are all telltale signs of a bad tan.

Next, lightly moisturise with a lotion to help hydrate your skin. Try and use less product as normal, as you do not want to create a barrier between your skin and the tan itself.

Then when you're ready to fake tan the next day make sure your body is clean. You can even rub a wipe over your skin (especially over your chest, wrists and armpits, as it will help remove any product build-up, such as any deodorant or perfume).

Once complete, you are ready to tan. Begin by tanning your feet and work up your body. This is important, as you will not get any streaks or creases from where you have been bent over leaning. So remember, work from toe to top, instead of the usual top to toe! Buff the product into your skin in sweeping circular motions either with a thick mitt or with a pair of gloves.

Then we have the tricky parts, the face and hands. Begin by rubbing an ice cube over your entire face to help close your pores. Whilst your skin is still damp, use a face-tanning product and gently massage the product into your skin. Try and only use a small amount, as your face should be slightly lighter than the rest of your body. Then when you tan your hands, simply sweep some product onto the back of your hand and buff it in with the mitt. Repeat the process on the opposite hand and voila you are complete and ready to go!

Remember, aftercare is crucial to help boost the longevity of your colour. A tip I love and regularly use is to top up my tan daily with a gradual moisturiser. Not only am I boosting my skins moisture levels, but I am also adding a subtle glow too. However, if you need a quick colour pick-me-up, add some wash-off tan or lotion to your regular moisturiser.

Lastly, follow my five essential tips for a beautiful summer glow all year round...
  • For the best results, self-tanner should only be two to three shades darker than your natural skin tone.
  • Rub a little bit of Vaseline over your nails to help stop them getting stained.
  • Avoid tanning your hairline! Instead mix the solution with your daily face cream for a softer look.
  • Invest in a good mitt that has a waterproof barrier, as it will stop any stains forming on your hands.
  • Finally, if you get any tan on your palms, quickly wash them with sugar to gently exfoliate, whilst removing the colour build-up.

There we have it ladies, my essential guide to the perfect tanning routine! Please leave a comment below and let me know if you prefer a real or faux tan?
Even though I personally like a natural tan, I prefer to fake it, as too much fun in the sun can cause premature aging (which I think I can safely say, nobody wants)!

My Chat With Ramona Braganza | Exclusive Interview

I am back today with an interview with Ramona Braganza, who is an acclaimed personal trainer to the stars. When you think of Tinseltown bodies, then you think of the big celebrities regularly gracing our screens and I have to say Ramona has trained them all.

She has not only worked with Eva Mendes and Scarlett Johansson, but she has also helped a variety of Hollywood hunks such as Ryan Reynolds and Bradley Cooper.

Keep reading to find out Ramona's daily diet and what workouts she does with Jessica Alba and Halle Berry who are not only in-demand actresses and business women, but they are also mums. I know its hard to believe, as how can they juggle all of that and still look good? But its simple, as Ramona has the answer!

At what age did you get interested in health and fitness?
I was a competitive gymnast from the age of 4 to 18, then I was a cheerleader/dancer for the NFL football team the LA Raiders for 10 years and during those years I became interested in competing for fitness contests. I would personally say that was when I really became interested in learning how to eat right and how to train properly.

What made you want to be a personal trainer and a wellness coach?
I was offered a job to train Jessica Alba for her TV show Dark Angel. This was the first official time I was training someone for a role. Once I began working with her I had more opportunities to work with everyday people as well, and I found that I could inspire them mentally and emotionally. All of this made me want to pursue a career as a personal trainer and a wellness coach.

Who was your first celebrity client?

The first celebrity I ever trained for a role was Jessica Alba when she was just 17 years old.

How can we achieve a Hollywood body without the a-list budget?
I believe anyone can accomplish anything they want to, as long as they have the will to do it. Building a Hollywood body begins in the brain, so even without an a-list budget if you can find the motivation and have a meaningful goal then you can start training yourself! Also my fitness program 321 training requires little equipment, so there is no need to join a fancy gym, as you can workout at home whenever you want.

Do you have any advice for workout beginners?
I always say beginners should not start out too aggressively. Simply begin with a walking program and a good proper eating plan and then you can add weight training and core improvement for as little as 20 minutes a day - 5 days a week. All of that will help you get started safely and effectively. Also I recommend everyone tries my Ramona 321 Pro app (which is available to download on iTunes), where I give tips and encouragement to train like the stars.

You often say 'make fitness a way of life', so how can we all incorporate it on a day-to-day basis?
Its really easy, start walking everywhere or cycle. Carry your grocery bags, clean your home regularly and make that a workout with some high energy music. Then take the stairs instead of the lift. Remember don’t limit exercise just to a gym, make it a lifestyle plan. If you work in an office consider a standup desk, as standing for an hour burns 50 more calories than sitting - while this doesn't sound like much, it all adds up. If you stand for three hours a day for five days, that's around 750 calories burnt. Over the course of a year it would add up to about 30,000 extra calories, or around 8lb of fat. Then I would say go out dancing and enjoy yourself, just get moving and spend less time stationary or sitting down.

What is your exercise regime?
My exercise regime consists of a variety of activities. When it comes to strength training I prefer using dumbbells and doing my 321 training method. I also go to a gym four times a week to help keep this up. For endurance training, I enjoy going on runs, taking dance classes, kickboxing classes and hiking. For agility, I like playing tennis and for balance I get on the water and try some stand up paddles and finally for flexibility I have been doing yoga classes a couple of times a week.

Can you describe your daily diet and what foods you recommend for fat burning?
I practice what I preach and I preach eating lean and clean. I stick to eating 3 meals, 2 snacks and a minimum of 1 liter of water every day. I recommend sticking to the 80/20 rule, so 80% of the week you stick to an eating plan and then the other 20% or 3 meals a week you have your favourite soul food (basically what you really like to eat). But daily for breakfast I like to eat muesli with yoghurt and berries. For lunch and dinner I have lean protein such as fish or chicken or some vegetarian protein source like beans, legumes and either yams, brown rice, wheat tortilla or quinoa and I always have it with lots of veggies, mostly green ones, like spinach, asparagus or a salad. Then I mainly have fruit for dessert, but I occasionally have a glass of red wine, a bit of chocolate or some gummi bears - everything in moderation.

Do you think its important to join a gym, or can we create a body like the celebs you train at home?
It can definitely be done at home, as long as you incorporate the right diet with the right training program.

What makes your 321 DVD series different and what can viewers expect?
Well I don’t offer just one workout, I offer my viewers a 3 day program and its not just cardio based, it includes strength training and working on your core. It also progresses you safely from a beginner to more advanced. Whats great is that it doesn’t need a lot of workout equipment and it can be adjusted to whatever time you may have by doing less or more of the cardio and by doing 1, 2 or 3 circuits of strength training each time.

Can you share the secret to Jessica Alba's and Halle Berry's enviable figures?
Its really just comes down to hard work, commitment and lots of willpower. Typical exercises I have done with Jessica include lots of crunches on the ball, around 25 to 30 in a row and then do that for 2 sets. Then with Halle we do a lot of walking lunges, around 25 in a row and we do 3 sets.

What is the biggest tip you can give to my followers and readers looking to sculpt/shape their bodies?
I would say stick with it and it will definitely work. Also don’t beat yourself up if you fall off a program, simply get back on it and carry on. Never let setbacks stop you from carrying on.

Do you have any snacking rules? And if so, what are good options to eat?
Snacks are allowed and should be enjoyed, but try and include hummus and celery, yoghurt and berries, low fat cheese and plenty of fruit and vegetables. I personally like to snack on edamame and occasionally popcorn. I recommend mixing both fiber and protein, as it is the best for keeping you fuller for longer.

What is your personal fitness goal for 2014?
My personal fitness goal for 2014 is to try and maintain the weight I am most comfortable at. But I do want to keep strength in my body - especially since I am now in my 50's and keeping muscle mass is extremely important to me and my overall fitness. I will also continue to work on improving my flexibility.

Lastly, whats next for Ramona Braganza?
Well I am busy the second part of the year traveling and expanding my brand globally. I am actually going to be in London on October 11th and 12th holding my Instructor 321 Training Method course, along with holding my 321 Baby Bulge Be Gone workshop for new mums wanting to get back in shape. If anyone is interested please go to my website 321FitnessUK and sign up, as I would love to meet you all. I will also be holding a fitness retreat in Egypt on October 22nd to the 26th and then I will head to India where I launch my first book called Feel Fit Look Fantastic in 321. So all in all I have a very busy time ahead!

Once again a big thank you to Ramona for conducting this interview with me. It was amazing to find out her top tips and tricks, as this lady knows her stuff and she knows it well. I will definitely be taking on board her 80/20 rule. I also just want to say that I was so shocked to find out that Ramona is in her 50's, as she looks absolutely incredible. Best Bombshell Buys | Summer Essentials

1. Chantecaille Primer & Sun Protection / 2. Josie Maran Cheek Gelee in Berry Bliss / 3. NARS Bronzer in Laguna /
4. Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray / 5. Urban Decay Eyeliner in Zero / 6. Revlon Matte Balm in Elusive /
7. MAC Pressed Blot Powder in Medium / 8. MAC Fix+ Setting Spray /
9. Lancome Hypnose Star Waterproof Mascara in Black / 10. Nuxe Multi-Usage Dry Oil in Golden Shimmer

I am back today with a summer essentials guide. As you can see from the above picture I have compiled my favourite products that help make my summer beauty regime quicker and more importantly bulletproof and long-lasting.

Sadly we have all experienced the dreaded make-up meltdown during a long summers day and my top ten items will help you combat that.

1. If you don't have much time to get ready, simply rub in a pea-sized amount of the Chantecaille Primer and Sun Protection over your entire face and neck. Even if you don't apply any foundation over the top, you will still notice a huge difference in the look and feel of your skin, as the silky matte texture will give you a flawless base and appearance - whilst the SPF will help protect your skin from the sun.

2. Next to look a like a true blushing beauty, apply the Josie Maran Cheek Gelee in Berry Bliss onto the apples of your cheeks. Try and leave a two finger wide gap between your nose and where your blusher starts - as that way you will look naturally flushed, rather than looking artificial with a ton of make-up on.

3. Then to warm up your complexion, why not try the NARS Bronzer in Laguna around the outer parts of your face and hollows of your cheeks. For a subtle bronzed look, apply it in an E3 motion, making sure you start at your temples, bring it down onto your cheeks and finally finish under your jawline. With that method you are sure to look like a bronzed goddess in no time.

4. For those of you out there that are looking for sexy beach waves then look no further than the Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray. Not only does it add body to fine hair, but it is also great for anyone wanting surfer-worthy waves. The product works both on dry and damp hair. Either style it with your fingers adding lift around your crown and scrunching at the ends of your hair for a tousled vibe. Or use a blow-dryer with a diffuser on damp/wet hair for a more dramatic bombshell look.

5. Black liner is a must own product no matter what time of the year it is, as it works on absolutely everyone. Sweep on a touch of the Urban Decay Eyeliner in Zero to define and accentuate your eyes (and let me tell you they don't call it 24/7 for nothing, as this beauty has tons of lasting-power and will not budge until you remove it). Also if you are after a smokey sultry look during evenings out, smudge your liner with either a brush or a cotton bud.

6. This summer its all about lips from neutrals to neon's. My current favourite is the Revlon Matte Balm in Elusive, as not only does it add a hint of velvety pink, but it also conditions your lips and the shade works from day to night. Apply it to clean bare lips and simply build coverage as desired.

7. Sick of having a greasy face during the summer? Then grab the Pressed Blot Powder by MAC in whichever shade is right for you. If unsure which colour to pick, go with the Medium, as its MAC's most popular shade, because it covers a wide range of skin-tones. Luckily all of the shades come out pretty transparent, so you can't go wrong. Either use a powder brush to blur pores and imperfections, or with a sponge for intense shine control.

8. If your skin is thirsty and needing a hit of hydration, spritz your face and body with a cooling mist. I recommend MAC Fix+ Setting Spray, as it contains vitamins and minerals to benefit your skins overall well-being and condition. Not only will it set your make-up in place (which is a must during the summer months), but it will also add radiance.

9. In the summer waterproof mascaras are essential! I highly recommend the Lancome Hypnose Star Waterproof Mascara in Black for long luscious lashes without any product transferring onto your skin. Another way to keep your eyes looking perfect all day is to apply a clear mascara over your usual product. Simply think of it as a topcoat for your eyes!

10. Finally, nothing says you've come back from a holiday more than a glossy glow, so why not use the Nuxe Multi-Usage Dry Oil in Golden Shimmer which combines a body oil that will nourish and hydrate your body, whilst the gold flecks make your skin shimmer softly.

With all of that heat, we need our make-up to withstand the elements and these products will certainly help you do that!

Lastly, I am going to share with you my five top tips to maintain your summer sexiness:
  • Always use a high SPF (even on cloudy days), as the suns rays are highly damaging and ageing.
  • Next, don't forget to apply sunscreen to your ears, nose and also along your hairline and parting, as these areas are delicate and can burn easily.
  • For a gorgeous glowing tan, apply a body oil everyday to help keep your skin hydrated.
  • To stop the sun damaging your luscious locks, simply twist your hair into a bun to protect the ends of your hair.
  • And remember to set your make-up with a setting spray to help stop it slipping and sliding.
So there you have it - my summer essentials.

I would absolutely love to know your go-to products, so please leave a comment telling me your faves.

The Liebster Award | Get To Know Me

Hi beauties
I have been nominated for the Liebster Award by the lovely Rachel from Rachel Vennard 1992. I have actually been nominated to do this post by another blogger a while ago too, but I never got around to it. I will hunt those questions down and do that TAG in another post.
Anyways I am going to get on with the questions, I hope you enjoy them and find out more about me. Also I will be tagging 10 blogs below and leaving questions for them, so be sure to check them out too!

What did you want to be when you 'grew up'?

When I was very young I always wanted to be either a lawyer or a solicitor (I'm not sure why, as that is definitely not my strong point), but I then moved onto wanting to be a property developer like my dad. No joke I must of been the only child on the planet who would play with a office diary and write down details of houses and improvements haha. I still remember my cousins saying I hadn't written it, as it was in so much detail (I was around 7 at the time) - but I genuinely had. I guess I have always been a geek LOL.

What's your guiltiest make-up pleasure?
Ooo this one is hard. It would probably be my fondness for luxury make-up (which is an expensive hobby and more importantly habit to have). I would say that 98% of my beauty collection is high-end brands, so it is a little excessive - but I just can't help myself LOL.

What is your evening relaxing routine if you have one?

I love getting home after a long day and getting straight into a lovely warm bath. Whilst its running I light a few candles (my favourite natural fragrance brand is Neom). Then when I'm in the tub I quickly take my make-up off with a Micellar Water and apply a nourishing hair mask by Ojon. Then once I'm out I get into my favourite PJs, as I love nothing more than being cozy and snugly. I then go back and wash my hair - I'm weird and do these steps separately, which takes me forever since I have long hair, but hey ho I guess that's me LOL. Once finished, I then deep cleanse with either the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish or Emma Hardie Moringa Balm. I then spritz my skin with a toner and finish with a nourishing cream or face oil (I am in love with the Divine Oil by Antipodes and I highly recommend it to everyone). Next up I
spray the This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray onto my bedding and I then apply some of the This Works Sleep Balm onto my pulse points to help me relax and unwind. Finally, whilst I am in bed I apply a hand cream and lip balm (I am currently using the Hand and Nail Cream by Caudalie and Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Treatment). Wow! I didn't actually realise how much goes into my daily evening routine LOL.

What made you start blogging?

I have been sharing beauty and fashion tips on twitter (@BeautyExpertUK) since 2012 and I knew it was about time I started a blog and shared my knowledge and thoughts with you guys properly. Since starting Bow Bombshell I have received such a great response. I just want to take this time to say thank you to everyone that has supported me and also to everyone that has left a lovely comment or sent me a sweet email, really from the bottom of my heart thank you!
If you had £100,000, what would you spend it on and why?
I would put £50k into my business, as you have to speculate to accumulate (as the old saying goes). I would then invest and save a further £30k and spend the last £20k on frivolous things. To start off my spending I would buy a Hermes Birkin and then book a nice holiday and spoil my friends and family.

Have you got any pets?
I have two little munchkins named Bentley and Lily. They are Mal-shis, which is a cross between a Maltese and a Shih Tzu. They are one years old now, but they are still my little babies. I literally don't know what I would do without them (soppy or what haha).

Do you like face wipes or do you prefer a real cleanser?
I personally never use face wipes, as I feel they do not cleanse my skin properly. However, I do own a pack of Elemis Cleansing Wipes for emergencies. But to date I still haven't used any yet. I like to do a full cleanse twice a day to remove my make-up and any dirt and impurities.

What's your overall life ambition?

My main ambition is for me and my family to live a happy and healthy life. Yes I want my business to be successful and yes I want to achieve and accomplish a long list of things. But none of that matters if you do not have health and happiness. So yes, those are my real life ambitions :-)

If you were Prime Minister and could make up one new law, what would it be and why?

I could be cliche and say free make-up for everyone. However, if I really did have that power I would try and use it a little more effectively haha. This is a tough one though, as there are a fair few things I would do and change, but I would firstly go with stopping the crazy university fees. I am lucky in the sense that I completed university whilst they were the original fees, but now my course has gone up to £9000 a year, which I think is ridiculous. I believe the government should encourage people to go to university, not put barriers in the way.

What three celebrities would you have afternoon tea with and why?

Ok this is easy for me, it would have to be James Franco, Ashton Kutcher and Johnny Depp (probably in that order too haha). I think all three are really funny, intelligent, clever and yes they are all good looking (which would make it even better I guess). But on a serious note, I think you could have a great afternoon with all of them. Plus if I could be cheeky and invite another guest who is no longer with us, it would have to be Michael Jackson - as I simply love him and his talent is unreal!

Right now onto the fun stuff!

Best Bombshell Buys | Weekly Wishlist

1. Creme De La Mer Powder / 2. Saint Laurent Monogramme Suede Bag / 3. Christian Louboutin Debout Patent /
4. Tom Ford Lipstick in Flamingo / 5. Kate Spade Case for the Apple iPhone 5s

1. First up is the iconic Creme De La Mer Powder. I have been wanting to buy this for absolutely ages, but for some reason I haven't gotten around to buying it. To be honest, last week when I was in Harrods I was finally going to pick it up, but the sales lady really annoyed me. She kept following me everywhere, trying too hard to sell products (literally up and down the counter haha) - I don't know about you, but that completely puts me off. I know what I like and I do not need some over the top sales tactics. However, with that being said, shout out to the girl who works on the Chantecaille counter in Harrods! She was absolutely lovely and I ended up buying a lot, because she made my shopping experience so easy and pleasurable. Anyways, I will still buy the powder, but I think I will be making a cheeky online purchase instead.

2. Nothing says luxury quite like Yves Saint Laurent, or Saint Laurent as they now like to be called. I have to say I love YSL and all of the brands collections are to die for. This bag in particular stood out to me because of the beautiful smooth suede and the signature monogramme logo. Even though I usually opt for a large oversized handbag during the day, I like small shoulder bags and clutches for evenings out. Out of all of the items on my wishlist, this is definitely at the top. At £1240, its not cheap, but it is most certainly the ultimate high-end girly accessory.

3. Next I am loving the Debout Patent heels from Christian Louboutin. To be honest the picture really doesn't do these beauties justice. I personally think that they will be so beautiful paired with skinny denim jeans (either a light wash or white) and a bright top. They would also work really well with a little black dress for the evening too. You cannot go wrong with Louboutins in general, as they are a timeless classic and I really need to purchase these babies as soon as possible!

4. Number four brings me onto the luxurious Tom Ford Lipstick in Flamingo. I have been craving this shade all summer, as it is a deep pink (and you all know by now that I love a pink lippy). Whilst the Tom Ford prices are going up and up (they are now £37 each) they are worth the splurge. The gorgeously soft glide on textures, great pigmentation and lasting power, along with the sturdy packaging makes these gems a win-win for me.

5. Finally to round up my wishlist, I would like to buy a Kate Spade iPhone 5s Case. I am addicted to my phone, so I love to make it look cuter with pretty cases. I just bought a Marc Jacobs Bunny Case in Coral and a Moschino Agostino Panda Case and whilst these are both nice, I still need to own a Kate Spade cover. The striped ones are the best (in my opinion anyways), the only tough decisions now is picking between the off white and black and the pink and red. Leave me a comment letting me know your favourite.

Lastly, what is currently on your wishlist?

My Chat With Kimberley Bosso | Exclusive Interview

Hi everyone,
So I am back with another interview. I have had a rather crazy week last week, as I not only had to meet with attorneys regarding my business and trademarks, but it was also my birthday - so there was a lot to do. However, no Monday would be complete without a good old interview. Today's is with the beautiful and ever so talented Kimberley Bosso.

Kimberley has not only glammed up a whole heap of female Hollywood celebrities, but she has also 'done up' Justin Bieber and Zac Efron (fan girl moment right there haha). Not only that but she has also opened up her own make-up academy in none other than Beverly Hills and she also has her own make-up line titled Bosso. This bombshell has a lot of strings to her bow, which is why I thought she would be perfect to interview for my blog.

Enjoy ladies ;-)

At what age did your fascination with make-up begin?
I could try and be cliché and say my passion for make-up started when I was a little girl, but the truth of the matter is, it came years after I graduated from make-up school in my twenties. What I can say is that I have always had a passion for beauty and beautiful things and even finding the beauty in what maybe people wouldn’t consider pretty like graffiti in a NYC subway even when I was five. So it’s no wonder I ended up beautifying people for a living really.

Where did you train and what was it like?
I actually trained at a popular make-up school in Los Angeles. Because I was not happy with my training, I will refrain from naming the school but it is still around. I went everyday for a month and I was so unhappy when I graduated because I truly felt like I got lost in the shuffle due to so many students in my class. I think there was around 25 and I certainly paid way too much and got very little attention. I had to just get out of there with the basics and throw myself into lots of jobs and learn by the “trial and error” method really. I’m not saying it was entirely a bad make-up education - as the school did teach me all about lighting and make-up for photography, TV and film, but three looks in one month is hardly an education. I personally feel too much theory and not enough hands-on experience is not a good way to learn.

What has been the biggest highlight of your career so far?
The biggest highlight of my career hands-down has been creating my make-up line Bosso and having it go global so fast. I launched it in early 2014 and the products have been flying off of the shelves. My line is unique because it contains anti-aging ingredients, is cruelty-free, paraben-free and it is also dermatologist tested.

Describe the biggest perk of your job?
The biggest perk of being a make-up artist is the sky is the limit for happiness and success! There are so many entities of make-up artistry, that it is never ending. You can simply be an artist in any medium you choose, IE: news, TV, film, fashion, red carpet, celebrity, weddings, editorial etc. You can also venture off and start your own make-up line, write a beauty book, create instructional DVD’s, be a spokesperson for a major make-up brand, be a YouTube guru, make-up blogger, the list is literally endless.

Who has been your favourite celebrity to glam up and why?
This won’t be such a mainstream type of answer, but when I worked on the Janet Jackson Documentary, Janet’s brother Jackie Jackson was such a class act and a really kind man. I love working with people who are incredibly down-to-earth who happen to be famous. I mean this family is iconic, and yet so humble and nice - it was really refreshing. Of course, I love working on famous women's faces too, since it’s more intricate and creative.

You have done several of the Jersey Shore cast-mates make-up, how would you describe their go-to signature looks?

When working with the Jersey shore girls I’d describe their signature look as dark smokey eyes and bronzed skin. Some may describe it as tanned or orange, but when I worked with them (JWoww and Snooki) for both MTV Movie Award Shows I was sure to give them a more subtle bronzed look with glowing skin and soft smokey eyes - as I’m not into giving my clients the “orange” look. Sometimes some clients are so stuck in their own rut, that you have to push them a little to take some risks and try something more flattering. Although I put a beautiful nude gloss on Snooki, I later saw on the red carpet that she changed it to the “Jersey standard” bubble gum pink lipstick. You can only help someone so much haha.

If one of my followers only has 10 minutes to get ready, which steps do you think are crucial to looking groomed and gorgeous?
A fast 10 minute routine for a polished look are these essential steps: BB Cream (Bosso BB Cream is a 5 in 1 and contains anti-aging ingredients, primer, moisturiser, foundation and SPF). So a miracle cream like this is an easy way to get gorgeous and hydrated skin that’s fully protected from the nasty UV rays. Bosso Concealer is the second step (my clients rave about its creamy formula, that stays put and doesn’t sit inside fine lines and wrinkles). You just need to pat a little into the skin and it looks incredibly natural and flawless. The third step is filling in your brows with Bosso Duo Brow Powder. There are two shades in each compact to achieve the most natural groomed brow. The great thing is it’s water resistant so it stays put all day. The last thing is to add your favourite gloss to bring life to your face and then that's it, you're out the door! Every girl looks together and attractive with great looking skin and fabulous brows, so if you’re short on time, do not skip these two things.

Which are your favourite high street and high end beauty brands and what are your favourite products from them?
When it comes to make-up, I'm really not a snob when it comes to cost. If it works, it works - whether it's cheap or expensive. I've found products from Chanel that I am obsessed with and also some that I'm not so fond of. And the same goes for inexpensive brands like L'Oreal and such. With that said, my top favourite brands are: of course my own brand Bosso, because of the anti-aging ingredients formulated in them. Also the concealer and BB cream work so beautifully on the skin leaving a natural look but with ample coverage. Another top brand I adore is Chanel with their amazing D'ombre Cream Shimmer Shadows. Whoo! They are ridiculously sexy! They also came out with a sheer silky foundation that is great for people with already good skin that need a nice glow without texture. Bosso is currently working on a liquid foundation that is going to be similar. I also really love shadows from MAC and blushers from Inglot. Some drugstore brands I like are L'Oreal and Revlon. The L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara in particular is amazing. And I also remember using a foundation from Revlon years ago that I really liked and enjoyed.

If you could only have three items in your pro kit, what would they be and why?
Three items in my pro kit? Easy. Bosso Brow Powder for the perfect brows, Embryolisse 24 Hour Miracle Cream and my Bosso Concealer.

What are your top tips on mastering contouring and highlighting and are there any products you recommend for it?
Top tips for contouring would be to use cream foundation for the most natural and flawless coverage. Place a light layer of foundation over your entire face in a shade that matches you, then another foundation one or two shades lighter (depending on how much drama you want) only in the center points of your face - like the t-zone area and then between the hollows of your cheeks and jawline. For the shading, choose a product two shades darker than your natural skin tone and place on the hairline, hollows of your cheeks, along your jawline and down the sides of your nose. Then remember to blend the light foundation into the dark and the dark into the light - which will give an overall blended look. A product that works well for this technique is MAC Full Coverage Foundation.

Describe your personal day-to-day beauty routine and how do you vamp it up at night?
I'm a "Mompreneur" so my everyday routine has to be quick and not time consuming. I literally get my face done in ten minutes with these steps: I slap on my moisturiser (Embryolisse) and then two layers of BB Cream in the shade Medium. I then apply concealer under my eyes in a light shade and my own Bosso HD Tinted Powder to set them. Next up is the Chanel D'ombre Shadows in Fantasme or Vision, with a MAC Tan Eyeshadow in the transition area. I then pick a Bosso Brown liner and Brow Powder to compliment and flatter my eyes and a Black Mascara with my Clear Top Coat by Bosso, so that I get zero transfer under my eyes. For Blusher and Lip Gloss, I change it up and use a variety of brands - depending on what I crave that morning. And last but not least lashes! I have this application down to 20 seconds to apply on each eye.

What was the last product or tool you bought?
Honestly I can't remember the last product I bought. I get a lot of support from some amazing make-up lines who send me tons of products. And of course I have my own brand on hand all the time in the warehouse. If I can recall, Exuviance Performance Peel was probably the last product I purchased. It's an amazing 2 step minor peel that reveals an incredible glow after several uses.

Which products can you not leave the house without?
I definitely cannot leave the house without my favourite Concealer and Lip Gloss.

What do you think will be this years biggest beauty trend?
Make-up trends that you will see on the fall runways are lots of metallic and white liners and shadows. I just did a demo of a combination of both on one of my models in my 6 day intensive make-up course I hold in Beverly Hills each month. My make-up school commenced in 2008 and attracts students and aspiring make-up artists from around the world who have a passion for make-up and beauty and would like to get certified by a working with a celebrity make-up artist.

Lastly, whats next for Kimberley Bosso?
I will be taking Bosso make-up line across the globe. I just recently launched it in Hong Kong, so we're making a trip out there soon. Also there are several other domestic businesses that are interested in carrying us, so we're keeping busy with orders and expanding in the US as well.To finish this interview I would just like to say thank you once again to Kimberley. It was an absolute honour and pleasure to find out her top tips and favourite products. I will definitely be checking out her course in Beverly Hills when I am next in Los Angeles - so stay tuned for more info on that in the future! Kimberly definitely proves that you can have it all, by being a full-time mum, a celebrity make-up artist and also an entrepreneur. She is a brilliant role model for young women like myself and I think we should all take some of her go getting attitude and apply it to our daily lives!

To find out more about Kimberley's fabulous beauty line and make-up school, check and also follow her on Instagram and Twitter @BossoMakeup

Lastly, what has been your favourite product so far this summer?
