The Christmas TAG

With Christmas just around the corner, I thought now was an appropriate time to do The Christmas TAG. There are only 10 questions, so its pretty short but I thought it was timely and festive!

What's your favourite holiday movie?
My all-time favourite festive film is The Santa Clause starring Tim Allen. I think its a timeless classic that I will always enjoy watching.

What are your favourite Christmas colours?
For decorations I like white, pink and silver - which just so happens to be my favourite colours in general.

Do you like to stay in your PJ's or dress up for Christmas?
I hate to admit it, but if I'm not going out on Christmas day then I like to stay in my PJ's. Its just one of those days where you don't have to make such an effort make-up wise (well I don't anyways haha) and you still have a good time.

If you could only buy one person a present this year, who would it be for?
It would have to be my mum!

Do you open your presents Christmas eve or Christmas morning?
We usually open one present on Christmas eve and then the rest on Christmas day.

Have you ever built a ginger bread house?

No, but I would love to make one in the future. I actually saw a really cute ginger bread house the other day, which I now wish I had bought.

What do you like to do on your Christmas break?
It would have to be Christmas shopping and treating the people I love to presents I know they will enjoy. I also like wrapping gifts, putting up decorations and then (obviously) sale shopping later on for moi LOL!

Any Christmas wishes?
Just that me and all of my friends and family have a great time during the holidays.

Favourite Christmas smell?
I have two favourite Yankee Candle scents, one is Merry Marshmallow and the other one is Christmas Cookie.

Favourite Christmas meal or treat?
For me it would have to be either Christmas dinner or a few cheeky Lindor chocolate truffles.

I just want to end this post in saying, it doesn't matter what you get up to during the holiday season or what presents you do or don't receive. The most important thing is that you and your loved ones have a fantastic time and are truly happy!

Merry Christmas to all of my fellow bombshells! xoxo

Christmas Gift Guide | Beauty and Fashion Edition

As Christmas is nearly upon us, I thought it was time for me to share with you my festive gift guide! Don't worry if you are still panicking what to buy, as my top picks will help you out in no time! I haven't included links in this post, as its too late to receive guaranteed delivery from most places, so I have just listed them instead. I hope you find this post helpful! :-)

1. Jo Malone Lime Basil & Mandarin Travel Candle and Red Roses Soap - £34
Whenever I think of luxury, Jo Malone always springs to mind. This set features a beautiful travel candle - which is still a pretty decent size and a super creamy soap. Whats great about Jo Malone is that everything comes gift-wrapped in beautiful boxes, tied with grosgrain ribbons and are immediately ready to be given (this service is complimentary too). So there's no need to worry about how good your wrapping skills are ;-)

2. Weleda Christmas Crackers - From £3.50
I think these Weleda crackers make the perfect gift, whether you give them to friends/family members, or if you place them around the table during Christmas dinner. Each cracker contains a different item from hand cream to body lotion and for the price you really cant go wrong. I think I can safely say we all love giving the gift of beauty and these little gems do not disappoint. Affordable, luxury skincare - what more is there to want?!

3. Givenchy Antigona Medium Smooth Leather Tote - £1170
If money is no object, then I highly recommend the Givenchy Antigona tote, mainly because a classic black bag is a staple in every woman's wardrobe. Not only can it be paired with anything, but it is also a timeless piece that will still be in style in years to come. If you want to go the extra mile gifting wise, then this beauty is one hell of a luxurious gift that everyone would love.

4. Ciaté Tree Trinkets - Currently £20
I chose these cute tree decorations as they are great for splitting up, whether you use them as part of a secret santa or if you split them up individually to make six small gifts. They also make nice stocking filler presents, as they work out at just over £3 per one - which is great value for money. Ciaté is a fantastic nail brand and I think every teenager and woman would love to receive one of these (or all six if you are feeling generous this Christmas).

5. Benefit Love At First Shine - £19.50
I personally think you can never go wrong in gifting a Benefit Christmas set, as each year the brand brings out carefully selected gifts, featuring stunning make-up, housed in beautiful packaging. I picked this six piece lip gloss kit, as there is a shade to suit everyone. Again, Love At First Shine is perfect for splitting up and making a few individual gifts, or giving as one large present.

6. This Works Sleeping Partners - £29
If you know someone that is always sleep deprived (and frankly we all do), then why not treat them to this. I personally think that this makes the perfect fool-proof gift, as it doesn't depend on their age/taste or likes etc, as we all need help relaxing, especially during this time of year. The set contains the beautiful Deep Sleep Pillow Spray and also the Deep Sleep Night Oil. Whats even better is that this kit has a combined value of £41, so that's an £11 saving. If you are feeling tired after all of this shopping, why not keep one of them for you and give the other item away ;-)

7. Topshop Reindeer Onesie - Usually £34, now reduced to £20
Now this gift might be controversial to some, but seriously who doesn't love curling up in a big baby grow. Also, let me add that this isn't just any old onesie, this is a Topshop novelty onesie that comes with a cute reindeer face and antlers, which most certainly adds a festive touch. If PJ's are on your list of things to buy then I would definitely check out Topshop and also why not head down to Primark, as they do a range of fab sets for pretty cheap (starting at around £7).

8. Urban Decay Naked 3 - £37
This palette has only just recently launched, but it has been hot property ever since. If you are lucky enough to still get your hands on it, then it would definitely make an excellent Christmas present. As not only are Urban Decay renowned for their eyeshadows, but this little baby is brand new and on everyone's wishlist.

9. Charlotte Tilbury Eyeshadow Palette - £38
I have chosen The Golden Goddess eyeshadow palette, as its a neutral quad and will work on a variety of skin-tones and eye colours. Not only are the shades buttery soft, but the formulas are highly pigmented and last all-day. I personally think you cant go wrong in gifting any of the Charlotte Tilbury range, as its not only prestigious and high end, but it is also fairly new - so not a lot of people have had the chance to try it yet.

10. Promise/Love Note - Priceless
Lastly if pennies are a little tight this year, why not promise a loved one to a weekly massage or tell them you will do a certain house chore etc. A present doesn't have to always involve money, sometimes the best gifts are free. Take the time out of your schedule to care or look after another person, as it really can be one of the best joys in life.
So ladies, Christmas might be fast approaching, but with some careful planning you still have plenty of time to purchase any last minute gifts.

Let me know what you are hoping to find under your tree this year?

Pump Up The Volume

Hi girls, I thought I would post my Viva Glam article today, so that if you missed it you still have a chance to find out how to create big, bouncy voluminous hair. I hope you like it!

We find ourselves asking does size really matter? Well ladies, it does when it comes to our hair. Big hair is back and bigger than ever! We all know the saying 'the higher the hair, the closer to god' and this season that couldn't be more true. A glamorous, glossy mane is not only desirable, but its now a necessity to ensuring our bombshell status. With celebrities such as Kate Middleton and Jennifer Lopez showing off their long, luscious locks, us normal girls want in on the action.
We may not have a personal stylist by our sides, but we can sure as hell still look sexy. In fact did you know that researchers recently found out that on average we visit the salon five times a year, which makes a staggering 250 trips between the ages of 15 and 65 and just think how much money that amounts to. Though we all like to be pampered from time to time and enjoy a professionals help, with the right tools and techniques you can create envious va-va voom hair at home - no matter what your budget. Simply follow my tips for fierce, fabulous fullness!

Prep it
Firstly, preparation is the key to your look. Start off by investing in a body-building shampoo and conditioner, like the Ojon Volume Advance range which is not only naturally derived and protein-rich, but it also helps give hair added volume, without weighing it down. Be sure to comb through your hair whilst each product is on, as this will help coat each strand. Once you are out of the shower, apply a small drop of Moroccanoil Oil Treatment (or as I like to call it liquid gold in a bottle) on the mid-lengths and ends, as this will smooth your hair, whilst the nourishing ingredients cover it with goodness. Then allow your hair to air dry, before liberally spritzing Oribe Maximista Thickening Spray on your roots. Once the products have started to work there magic, start to gently brush out any knots with the cult classic Tangle Teezer.
Top tip: To prevent hair breakage and damage, always use a good detangling spray that can double up as a leave-in treatment. Look for products that contain a UV filter to help protect your hair from the outside elements.

Style it
We all know that styling is crucial to any hairstyle. So when your hair is dry begin by sectioning it into four sections and then secure them in place with clips. Before you wrap your hair into large velcro rollers, give each section a blast of heat with your blow-dryer to ensure a long-lasting hold. Then start at the front of your head and work backwards, so that your crown area has a longer time to set. Once the rollers are in, leave them for around 30 minutes (you can use this time to apply your make-up or to get ready). Before removing, use the cool setting on your dryer to finally set your look. Once all of the curlers are out, begin backcombing around the top of your head and then lightly spritz your hair with Spray and Play Volumising Hairspray by Sexy Hair to help hold the curls and maintain the lift. And voila, there you have it - big, bouncy Hollywood hair.
Top tip: If you don't have much time to spend on your hair, simply go to bed with a loose top knot and wake up with instant volume.

Maintain it
To keep your hair looking and feeling healthy, you need to look after it. Use a clarifying shampoo once a week to remove any product buildup, so that it doesn't ruin or should I say flatten your future hairdos. Also, if you can't wash your hair or you need to give your style an extra boost, simply revamp it with Batiste Dry Shampoo. By the way, it now comes in a variety of shades, so there's no need to worry about it leaving a ghostly white cast.
Top tip: To rescue your hair, apply a nourishing treatment weekly. Try Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Masque.

Lastly it is important to invest in silk pillowcases. You might be thinking I'm crazy, but there's a method to my madness (I promise). Cotton can rub against our hair and cause the dreaded frizz, the thing us girls work so hard to combat and even worse it can give us premature wrinkles - and I can safely say none of us want that. If however new bedding isn't an option, try using a scarf instead, so that sky high hair can be yours forever!

There we have it, trends come and go, but hot hair remains. Don't let your locks let you down!

What was your favourite subject at school?
My favourite subject at school was actually history, its strange as I cant stand it now LOL.

What's your favourite song at the moment?

This ones hard, as I love music. But it would probably have to be Story Of My Life by One Direction. I was never a big fan of theirs until this song.
What would you name your children?

Do you participate in any sports?
No, unless shopping counts?!

Yes, I have been lucky enough to have traveled a fair bit.

Do you speak any other languages?
French, but not fluently.
Do you have any siblings?
Yes, I have three sisters and one brother.

What's your favourite store?
Without a doubt it has to be Selfridges!

What's your favourite restaurant?

Again this is hard, as I really like Wagamama and Nando's. They are both delicious, so I cant pick.

I'm an oldie (24), so I have left school, college and university now. But to answer the question, yes I like learning and education, so I enjoyed it.

Anything starring Ashton Kutcher (I'm literally obsessed with him). Mila Kunis is one lucky lady LOL and also The Hangover.

What are some of your favourite TV shows?
I love crime programmes, such as Law and Order, Crimewatch, I Survived Evil, True CSI etc. But I also enjoy lighthearted reality shows such as The Real Housewives of BH/NJ/NY. So I guess its a bit of a mixture.

Mac all the way! I actually have a Macbook Pro and I love it!

I'm weird and have two phones, ones a BlackBerry 9900 and the others an iPhone.
